The 2020 Norton Sports Health 10K has been cancelled.

How long is the race?
The Norton Sports Health 10k is a 6.2 mile race.

What time does the Race start?
The race begins at 8 a.m. Eastern Time.

How do I register?
You can register online at our secure site. Click on the Registration icon on the Home page and follow the directions. Online registration will close at midnight on Oct. 9, 2020. Remember – there are no refunds or deferrals to future years.

Is there a capacity limit (cap) on the races?
Yes. The race is limited to the first 750 to register.

May walkers participate in the Norton Sports Health 10k?
Yes, walkers may participate.

Where is the Start Line?
The start line will be the main road that goes around the Egg Lawn.

Where is the Finish Line?
The finish line is also on the main road that goes around the Egg Lawn.

What time does the Finish Line close?
The finish line will close at 10:30 a.m.

Are headphones, ipods or MP3 players permitted?
You may wear your headphones, ipods or MP3 players; however, we ask that you keep the volume at a reasonable level for your own safety and out of courtesy for fellow participants.

You should still be able to hear participants and volunteers in proximity to you.

Do I need to return the chip?
No. We are using disposable chips that DO NOT need to be turned in after the race.

Are strollers allowed?
No. Due to the tight pathways used during the race, strollers and pets are not allowed in the Norton Sports Health 10k.

What is the temperature that time of year?
According to weather.com, the average high is 70 degrees Fahrenheit and the average low is 49 degrees Fahrenheit.

Where should I park?
Parking is available near the Egg Lawn inside The Parklands. To enter The Parklands parking area, use the main entrance to Beckley Creek Park (15712 Shelbyville Road). All participants will receive final parking instructions by e-mail the week of the race.

Will there be in-race hydration?
Race participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles to minimize the need to stop at on-course hydration stations. LSC will provide hydration in the form of bottled water and Powerade that will be passed directly from the volunteer to the race participant.

Do I receive a medal?
All race finishers will receive a medal.

What will I receive for participating?
Participants will receive finisher medals, a commemorative Norton Sports Health 10K buff and virtual goodie bags. Participants will also receive bottled water, Powerade and pre-packaged snacks (energy bars, nuts, candy).

What is the route for the Norton Sports Health 10k?
The course information can be found by clicking the “Course” tab at the top navigation.

Is there a place to keep my keys and extra clothes?
There will be no gear check service in 2020.

Is bib-swapping permitted?
Yes. Bibs can be swapped until Sept. 24, 2020. To swap bibs, log into your RunSignUp account, go to “Profile” > “My Registered Races” > “View/Edit” > “Transfer to Another Runner”. There is a $25 processing fee.

When is the last day to register?
The last day to register online is Oct. 5, 2020, or when the race hits its capacity of 750 participants. There will be NO registration at packet pickup or on race day.

Where do I get my race packet?
Packet pickup will be at the Louisville Water Tower Park on Wed., Oct. 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. There is no packet pickup on race day.

Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
No. Because of safety protocols and the need to take every participant’s temperature prior to race day, everyone will need to pick up their own packet.

When is the Kids Fun Run and how much does it cost for my child to participate?
There will be no Kids Fun Run in 2020.

Are there hotels in close proximity to the Parklands?
Yes, you can click here to search for available hotels.

What types of wheelchairs are allowed?
Push-rims are the only style of wheelchair allowed. The top three male/female wheelchairs are recognized in each event.

Are there bathrooms on the Norton Sports Health 10k course?
Bathrooms will be available (typically porta-potties) at the start line and near the water station along the course.

How do I get my results?
You will be able to get results on the nortonsportshealth10k.com website immediately following the race.

What is the cancellation policy?
